What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to get it removed.

Last updated: — · Operated by: —

The short version. We collect only what an estate agent needs in order to reply to you. Your income figures never leave your own device — only the budget you choose to share. We don't sell your data, and we don't advertise to you. Ask us and we'll delete everything we hold.

1. What we collect

Only what you type in. We don't buy data about you from anyone else, and there's no tracking pixel following you around the internet.

When you…We receive
Send an enquiry on a listing Your name and WhatsApp number. If you chose to add them: your budget, where you stand with a bank, deposit available, and your timeline.
Save a searchYour name, WhatsApp number, and the search criteria.
Request a valuationYour name, contact number, and the property details you entered.
Apply to join as an agent Your name, email, phone, agency, area, and EAAN registration number if you give one.
Submit a property to listThe listing details and your contact number.
Use the contact formYour name, email, phone if given, and your message.
We never ask for and never want: your ID number, bank account details, passwords, or payslips. No part of this site needs them. If anyone claiming to be from Monganda asks you for those, it isn't us — please tell us about it.

2. What stays on your device

The calculators — affordability, bond, pre-qualification, transfer costs — run entirely in your browser. Your income and debt figures are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. They're used to work out a number on your screen and then they're gone.

If you claim a buyer's badge, we save a small record in your own browser's storage so you don't have to retype it on every listing. It contains your name, contact number, budget, finance status, deposit and timeline. It sits on your device, not our servers. It's sent to us only at the moment you press send on an enquiry.

You can wipe it any time by clicking "Not you?" beneath any enquiry form, or by clearing your browser data.

3. Why we collect it

  • To pass your enquiry to the right agent. That's the whole purpose of the site — connecting you to the person handling that property.
  • To help the agent reply usefully. An agent who knows your budget and whether you're bank-approved can answer properly instead of guessing.
  • To alert you when a listing matches a search you asked us to save.
  • To review agent applications before letting someone list on the site.

Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you choose to submit a form. You never have to fill in the optional fields, and enquiries work without them.

4. Who we share it with

The estate agent whose listing you enquired about. That is the point of sending an enquiry, and it's the only party who receives your details as a matter of course.

We also rely on two service providers to run the site:

  • Cloudflare — hosting and, if enabled, privacy-friendly analytics.
  • Resend — delivers enquiry emails to us and to agents.

We do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if a Namibian court or law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Saved searches: until you ask us to stop, or 12 months of no activity.
  • Agent applications: kept while you're an active agent; 12 months if declined.
  • Buyer badge: on your device until you clear it. We never hold a copy.

6. Your rights

Whether or not Namibian data-protection legislation is in force, we'll honour these:

  • See it — ask what we hold about you and we'll tell you.
  • Fix it — have anything wrong corrected.
  • Delete it — ask us to erase it, and we will unless a law requires us to keep it.
  • Stop it — withdraw consent or unsubscribe from alerts at any time.
  • Take it — get a copy of what you gave us in a readable format.

Email our privacy address and we'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge.

Once an agent has your enquiry, they hold their own copy and become responsible for it under their own obligations. We'll tell you which agent received what, and pass on a deletion request, but we can't delete from their systems on your behalf.

7. Cookies and analytics

Monganda sets no advertising or tracking cookies. There is no Facebook pixel, no Google Ads tag, no cross-site tracking.

We use your browser's local storage — not cookies — to remember your buyer badge and filter preferences. That data never leaves your device on its own.

If analytics is switched on we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and doesn't fingerprint or track individuals across sites. It tells us how many people viewed a page, nothing about who they are. You'll be asked before it loads, and you can decline.

See our cookie notice for the detail.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries travel encrypted to our email provider. We keep access to the inbox limited to people who need it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can promise is to hold as little as possible — which is why we don't take ID numbers, banking details or payslips at all.

9. Children

Monganda is meant for adults buying, selling or renting property. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Contact and complaints

Questions, requests or complaints about privacy:

  • Email: —
  • WhatsApp: —
  • Post: —

If we haven't resolved it, you're entitled to complain to the relevant Namibian authority once a data-protection regulator is established.

Changes. If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant — new data collected, or a new party receiving it — we'll say so clearly on the site rather than quietly editing this page.
